The Palace of Westminster, usually known as the Houses of Parliament, is the heart of British politics. This building was conceived to serve the needs and workings of the Parliament and had a significant influence on the subsequent design of various public buildings both nationally and internationally. Inspired by the stunning gothic architecture of one of the London’s ex libris, “Glory†was created with the purpose to reflect the verticality and rhythm associated to the architectural and artistic surface of the palace. However, this piece intends, as well, to convey all the notoriety and supremacy exercised by the parliamentary monarchy in the United Kingdom, since they have had a glorious role in the British history.
