As a child I have the memory of going to the city center of Porto and being dazzled by all the drawings that the floor sculpted. Jumping from stone to stone, from cube to cube, without knowing how important all those fascinating mosaics were.
Today I know, it wasn’t just me. Endless sidewalks that tell the stories of thousands of people who pass by every day. With or without decorative patterns, regular or irregular, no one is indifferent to this heritage of Portuguese culture, including me.
For this very reason, in honor of my memories and those of all those who pass by, I created a piece so that everyone can have some of these magical cubes at home.
For me it’s like building all those blocks of granite or limestone that I remember playing with, kicking, or just fitting in from the place I never should have left.
